International Experimental Engraving Biennial - 3rd edition


Bienala Internationala de Gravura Experimentala

Euro CulturART Association and Brancovan Palaces Cultural Center are inviting you to the opening of the 3rd International Experimental Engraving Biennial, Saturday, 29 March 2008, at 4:00 PM, at the Brancovan Palaces Cultural Center, Mogosoaia.

A press conference will be held before the opening, at 3:00 PM.


The jury of the Biennial:

Liviana Dan - art critic, curator, Brukenthal Museum, Sibiu, România, chairman of the jury;

Ignas Kazakevicius - art critic, curator, chairman of the NOW ART NOW FUTURE Biennial, Lithuania;

Leszek Czajka - artist, artistic director of WizyTUjaca GALERIA, Varşovia, Poland;

Alexandru Jakabhazi - drawer, Timişoara, România;

Ciprian Chirileanu - drawer, chairman of the Small Engraving International Biennial - Graphium, Timişoara, România.


Between 19-20 January 2008, the jury had selected 72 artists from 28 countries, from a total of 173 artists / 40 countries.

Biennial Prize:
MIGUEL ANGEL PADILLA GÓMEZ (Mexic) - "Siete de un golpe", 7 ready-made print on canvas, 60x20 cm each, 2006

Jury Special Prize:
INES MATIJEVIC (Croatia) - "Musical boxes", installation, digital print (100x70 cm each) and video performance, 2005

Young Artist Prize:
AGNIESZKA CHOLEWINSKA (Poland) - linocut with light intervention, 100x180 cm, 2007
